Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for a 13-week travel assignment in Savannah, Georgia. The role requires an accredited Ultrasound Technology program, at least one year of recent ultrasound experience, and valid ARDMS and ARRT certifications.

The provider will perform general and vascular imaging, ensure patient prep, and document findings in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current ARDMS RDMS certification.
• Current ARRT certification in sonography.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound scans and generate diagnostic images.
• Read and analyze sonograms for diagnostic purposes.
• Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Ensure patient prep and safety standards are followed.
• Document patient records accurately and in compliance with regulations.

The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) - Gen/Vascular uses high-frequency sound waves to generate images of patients' internal organs and blood vessels. They ensure patients are prepped for examinations, perform ultrasound scans, and analyze sonograms for diagnostic purposes. The role requires advanced technical skills, patient-centered care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminologyCollaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plansPerform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studiesCalibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standardsMaintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standardsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languagePhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements
