Job summary

Principle Health Systems is seeking a Mobile Ultrasound Technologist for general and vascular imaging in Oklahoma City and surrounding facilities. The role requires traveling within a designated territory, with responsibility for independent examinations, documentation, and timely reporting of findings.

Full-time position offering competitive hourly pay, paid training, a company vehicle/gas card, and comprehensive benefits. Must have licensure and ARDMS preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of scanning experience; 2–3 years preferred.
  • Must have ARDMS abdomen or vascular certification preferred.
  • Ability to perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations and write concise technical impressions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations.
  • Notify medical staff of abnormalities and maintain equipment.
  • Document findings with clear technical impressions and upload to PACS.

R ESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Care and Ultrasound Examinations

  • Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and answer any questions they may have.
  • Perform general and vascular ultrasound scans to assess and identify areas of concern.
  • Notify appropriate medical staff immediately of any abnormalities requiring urgent attention.

Equipment Maintenance and Reporting

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or issues.
  • Upload completed studies into the online PACS system and accurately mark records as complete.

Documentation and Communication

  • Prepare clear and concise technical impression reports summarizing findings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all examination results.

Work Environment and Collaboration

  • Manage multiple patients efficiently while adapting to a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of 1 year of scanning experience (2–3 years preferred).
  • ARDMS (Abdomen or Vascular) certification preferred.
  • Ability to perform a variety of general and vascular examinations.
  • Comfortable writing a technical impression of each finding.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods while performing patient services.
  • Comfortable driving for extended stretches to various patient locations up to 200+ miles per day.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under high-stress situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and varying patient needs.
