Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Oregon is seeking an experienced Echocardiography Technologist to deliver diagnostic services in hospital and clinic settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the KPNW Mission.

You will perform routine, emergent, portable and surgical echocardiography, handle data entry, supply management, and quality assurance, with on-call rotation as required, and you will work onsite in Mt. Talbert Medical Offices with a 40-hour schedule.

Qualifications

  • Two-year AMA-approved ultrasound program with certification, or ARDMS/CCI pathway.
  • ARDMS or CardioVascular Credentialing International credentials within 12 months.
  • HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures including routine, emergent, portable and surgical exams.
  • Assist patient/transport and maintain data entry, filing and QA tasks.
  • Restock supplies and perform related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in on-call or standby schedule as required.

Job Summary

To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, to include clerical duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW Mission and philosophy.

  • Performing diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served to include: Routine, emergent, portable, surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Data Entry. File work. Restocking supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as assigned.
  • Variable - Participates in on-call or standby schedule as required.

Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • N/A
Education
  • A minimum two (2) year AMA approved program and successful completion of one year Ultrasound training and certification, OR
  • Two (2) years Allied Health and successful completion and certification of two (2) year ARDMS program, OR
  • Successful completion of an AMA accredited Ultrasound program, ARDMS registered or CardioVascular Credentialing International (CCI) (new grads within one (1) year of hire for registration).
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon)
  • Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
Additional Requirements
  • Completion of a formal training program.
