Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS, seeks an Ultrasound Technologist for the day shift in our Outpatient Imaging Center. This full‑time role emphasizes high-quality ultrasound procedures, patient education, and collaboration with imaging teams to deliver excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will hold ARDMS certification (or obtain within 1 year) and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Prior healthcare ultrasound experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required or obtain ARDMS certification within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Ultrasound Tech with prior work experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures to support patient care.
• Provide patient education and demonstrate strong communication skills to ensure positive outcomes.
• Support the organization's priorities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by supporting the Ultrasound department and other Imaging Services areas as needed.
