Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital's Ultrasound team seeks a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer to perform abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical imaging for adult and pediatric patients. The role may involve vascular imaging and assists with needle procedures as needed.

Responsibilities include equipment readiness, imaging examinations, and documenting procedures; on-call, portable exams, and other sites may be required to meet department needs. RVT RDMS eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Performs ultrasound imaging including abdominal, small parts and obstetrical studies.
• May assist with needle procedures (biopsies, drainages, needle placements) and vascular imaging.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper function and readiness of all ultrasound equipment.
• Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation.
• May perform studies independently, may be on-call, portable exams, or at other sites as required.
