The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions. This position is primarily responsible for General and Vascular ultrasound imaging, with Echocardiography experience preferred. We proudly uphold Equal Opportunity Employment practices and welcome applicants of all backgrounds without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.## Qualifications**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS*** **Required:** Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program; Advanced registry through RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or equivalent credential; CPR/BLS certification; Ability to perform General and Vascular ultrasound examinations; Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.* **Preferred:** Echocardiography experience and/or registry; RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), Additional specialty ultrasound registries and certifications.**EXPERIENCE*** **Required:** Knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound principles, patient positioning, image acquisition, and quality assurance practices.* **Preferred:** One to two years of Diagnostic Medical Sonography experience and/or training; Experience performing General and Vascular ultrasound examinations; Echocardiography experience preferred.**SKILLS*** Proficiency in General and Vascular ultrasound imaging techniques.* Strong patient assessment and communication skills.* Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.* Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities.* Ability to assess clinical information and exercise sound judgment during examinations.* Excellent organizational and time management skills.* Ability to function effectively under stressful conditions.* Commitment to exceptional customer service and patient centered care.* Proficiency with PACS, EMR systems, and healthcare technology.* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.
