Job description

Role Overview

The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations under physician supervision, ensuring high-quality, timely imaging for patient diagnosis.


Proper patient identification, preparing patients, applying appropriate imaging techniques across all age groups, and operating clinical equipment proficiently. They must complete and annotate exams following ACR guidelines, adhere to safety protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure equipment functionality.


Qualifications


  • ARRT or ARDMS Registry with relevant specialty certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Additional experience and registries preferred, especially in vascular or pediatric imaging


Skills Required


  • Effective communication and quick assessment skills

  • Manual dexterity for delicate equipment manipulation

  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients, often in busy environments

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate crowded areas
