Job summary

CVMC is seeking a Sonographer to join our Radiology Team in Vermont. You will perform a range of ultrasound procedures with independence and clinical guidance from Radiologists and Ultrasound Supervisors.

The role requires ARDMS (ARDMS certification) and CAHEA/JRCT education; 2–3 years of experience with vascular, OB and small parts imaging is preferred. Hours are noon–8:30pm, Monday–Friday, with on-call weekends and relocation/sign-on bonuses offered.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required; ARRT preferred.
• Graduate of CAHEA/JRCT or 2-year allied health equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience preferred.
• Experience in vascular, OB and small parts imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex and highly technical ultrasound procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment under radiologist and supervisor guidance.
• Apply nonionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves for diagnostic imaging.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sonographer performs a variety of routine, complex and highly technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease.

The Certified Staff/Senior Sonographer works under the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Manager, and under the clinical direction and guidance of the Radiologist and Ultrasound Supervisor. The Sonographer performs a variety of routine, complex and highly technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the application of nonionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to humans for diagnosis of disease.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved CAHEA/JRCT school of Radiologic Technology, or a two year allied health equivalent
• ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certified and ARRT preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• 2-3 years experience preferred
• Experience in vascular, OB and small part preferred.

HOURS/SHIFTS:

This position is Monday-Friday, noon-8:30pm with an on-call rotation of every 5th weekend (Saturday, Sundays, and holidays) from 8am-noon.
