Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Solutions Validation Architect to lead validation strategy for complex, integrated client solutions in Austin, TX. You will coordinate across hardware, software, firmware, and services teams to ensure end‑to‑end customer experience quality and readiness.

You will drive architectural thinking, define validation plans and ensure tool, labor and environment readiness while collaborating with scatter teams globally.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end client solutions including hardware, software, OS, drivers, BIOS and security.
  • Extensive experience with validation and verification principles for complex, integrated systems.
  • Ability to think architecturally across domains and translate needs into validation strategies.

  • Define validation strategies, test plans and architectures for new and existing solutions.
  • Ensure validation coverage across functionality, performance, reliability, security and usability.
  • Identify gaps in tooling, automation, and environments and guide next‑gen capabilities.
  • Harvest data from validation teams, field data and customer feedback to improve effectiveness.
  • Interface with leadership to provide risk assessments and readiness assessments.

Solutions Validation Architect

We’re a team of expert engineers responsible for the development of all test cases and test tools to ensure the functionality and compatibility of our products. We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

What you’ll achieve

In this role, you will define and influence solution‑level validation architectures that span multiple subsystems and technologies, ensuring end‑to‑end customer experience quality. Partner with Hardware, Software, Firmware, Platform, Security, and Services Architecture teams to embed validation strategy early in solution definition and design phases. Drive alignment between solution requirements, use cases, and validation methodologies across globally distributed execution teams. Influence execution readiness by identifying required skills, labor, schedules, tools, environments, and automation to validate complex, integrated solutions. Act as a thought leader for validation across the Client Solutions portfolio, shaping standards, best practices, and future investment priorities.

Accountabilities
  • Define, influence, and review solution‑level validation strategies, test plans, and test case architectures for new and existing integrated solutions.
  • Ensure validation coverage across critical dimensions, including functionality, performance, reliability, security, compatibility, interoperability, manageability, and usability.
  • Identify gaps in validation tooling, frameworks, automation, and environments; advocate for and guide development of next‑generation capabilities.
  • Harvest intelligence from validation execution teams, field data, and customer feedback to continuously improve solution validation effectiveness.
  • Provide Engineering and Product Leadership with high‑level solution validation strategies, risk assessments, and readiness assessments.
  • Interface with external validation partners and ecosystem stakeholders to ensure aligned and comprehensive validation coverage across the solution lifecycle.

Essential Requirements
  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end client solutions, including hardware platforms, firmware, operating systems, software, drivers, BIOS, security features, and services.
  • Extensive experience with validation and verification principles applied to complex integrated systems or solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to think architecturally across multiple domains and translate business and customer needs into validation strategies.
  • 10+ years of experience in a large‑scale technology corporation.
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience (Hardware, Electrical, Computer, Systems, or Software Engineering preferred).
Desirable Requirements
  • Background in PC OEM/ODM environments (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus, Compal, Foxconn) and/or technology ecosystem partners (e.g., Microsoft, Intel, AMD).
  • Significant experience in PC Technology corporations (ex: Microsoft, Intel, AMD, etc.)
Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $156,400-$202,400.
