Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Solution Engineer for Field Service to implement energy management hardware and software solutions across customer sites. The role emphasizes safety, standards, and proactive problem-solving in a dynamic field environment.

You will travel up to 80% and leverage PLC programming, power systems knowledge, and diagnostics to support utilities, metering, and networking projects. This is a hands-on role in a global company focused on sustainable progress.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Information Systems or 4 years of field service power distribution engineering experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Must possess the ability to travel 80%.
• Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as work with other groups or teams.
• In Depth PLC programming experience.
• Knowledge and experience using WinPM.Net, Power Monitoring Expert, PowerScada, PowerXpert, etc.
• In depth experience with Utilities, Metering, and/or Networking (TCP/IP, Modbus, Profibus)
• Time and task management skills (e.g., Project Manager, Project Engineer).
• SQL Database experience (Creating Queries, Data Manipulation)
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience reading schematics and one lines.

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
