Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in the United States is seeking a Solutions Engineer to install, test, and document software and hardware environments used for customer-facing demonstrations. Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with container orchestration, Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Proficiency with Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with DICOM/HL7 data standards and healthcare IT systems.
• Scripting or automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solutions Engineer to support our sales team by installing, testing, developing, and documenting software and hardware environments used for technical demonstrations.

This role requires strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, Postgres, SQL, and healthcare data standards (DICOM/HL7). The ideal candidate will be a technical generalist who can bridge the gap between engineering and sales, ensuring that demo systems are reliable, performant, and tailored to specific use cases.

Travel: up to 30%

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware environments used for customer-facing demonstrations.
• Develop and test customized demo environments showcasing our solutions across platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows Server, and various database technologies.
• Collaborate with sales, product managers, and technical leads to tailor demonstrations to customer requirements.
• Ensure compatibility and integration with systems involving DICOM and HL7 data standards.
• Document build processes, configurations, and usage instructions for internal and customer-facing reference.
• Automate setup processes and streamline deployment for consistent and repeatable demo environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in demo environments under tight deadlines.
• Support high‑priority sales opportunities and customer engagements where rapid technical problem solving is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, Strong knowledge Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP,)
• Experience with relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 protocols and healthcare IT systems.
• Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, technical environment.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pre‑sales or customer‑facing technical roles.
• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Previous exposure to medical imaging or clinical systems integration.

Base Pay Range

The base pay range for this position is: $117,770 - $161,931 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
