Overview

BetterUp is hiring a Solutions Engineer to be the technical architect behind fit between platform capability and customer ambition. You will help enterprise buyers understand how BetterUp works, how it integrates, and how it delivers on what matters most. If you love translating complexity into clarity and building scalable solutions, this role is for you.

Base pay and location

Base pay range: $129,000/yr – $203,500/yr.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise stakeholders across IT, InfoSec, HRIS, and more
• Build and configure demo environments that demonstrate the BetterUp experience
• Deliver high-fidelity, narrative-driven demos tailored to customer goals and buyer personas
• Serve as the technical point-of-contact throughout the pre-sales cycle, including security, API, and integration conversations
• Design scalable solutions aligned to platform capabilities, delivery realities, and product roadmap
• Translate integration needs into clear, technically viable specifications
• Produce Solution Design Blueprints and drive alignment across Sales, Product, and Customer Success
• Support seamless handoffs into implementation by clarifying configuration logic and deployment readiness

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting role in enterprise SaaS
• Experience with HRIS, LMS, SSO, or API-based integrations in large-scale enterprise environments
• Ability to build and deliver tailored product demos aligned to real-world business needs
• Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance in global enterprise contexts
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to create clear, reusable documentation to support implementation and adoption
• Experience advising across feasibility, architecture, and platform configuration tradeoffs
• Experience gathering and structuring product feedback to inform roadmap conversations

$148,000 – $203,500: New York City and San Francisco

$129,000 – $177,100: All other locations
