Workiva, Inc. is seeking a Solution Consultant to provide pre-sales support in presenting financial reporting solutions. The role involves addressing complex problems in the Financial Services sector and requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will engage with clients to discover needs, build Proof of Concepts, and collaborate across teams to drive solutions. A minimum of 4 years' experience and an undergraduate degree are required for this position.
The Solution Consultant provides pre‑sales support in the development and presentation of our financial reporting solutions for prospective clients and current customers, addressing the complex problems that Workiva's platform solves. The solutions relevant to this role are bespoke to the Financial Services sector, specifically targeting Alternative Investments, Insurance/Reinsurance, and Banking. The qualified candidate will offer specific technical subject‑matter expertise to the sales function. You will support the business and functional aspects of the Workiva platform via technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations, and value‑based messaging. Additionally, you will develop example solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept to demonstrate the viability and value of Workiva's solutions.
Engagement & Discovery: Execute a pre‑sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners; drive the discovery process; and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs. Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives.
Solution Architecture: Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, and present customer‑specific business cases. Assist in developing new use‑cases or utilize existing templates to provide proof of our solution's value proposition.
Collaboration & Leadership: Work with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals. Deliver cross‑domain coaching, training, or mentoring to peers. Demonstrate knowledge across multiple domains, industries, and departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and related career experience
Experience selling to or working in Investments/Asset Management, insurance or Banking industries
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with Private/Mutual Fund Reporting, Investor Relations, Capital Planning, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, or Insurance Statutory Reporting.
Experience with financial reporting technology, such as Allvue, SS&C, Yardi, Investran, Oracle, Workday, SAP or the Workiva platform.
Hands‑on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures.
Capability to gather business needs and present a value‑based, compelling software demonstration.
Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills.
Self‑motivated with a strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement.
Up to 25% Travel

On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: 127,000.00 - 203,000.00 USD Annual
Eligible for commission based on sales performance
