We are looking for technical builders who love the idea of working with early stage startups to help them as they grow. In this role, you’ll work directly with a variety of interesting customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way. You’ll have a chance to build enduring relationships with these companies and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.

As a member of the Generative AI Startups team, you will work directly with customers to help them successfully leverage cutting-edge AWS technology to develop, train, tune, and deploy the next generation of generative AI foundation models at scale.

As well as spending time working directly with customers, you’ll also get plenty of time to learn new technologies and keep your skills fresh. We have 200+ services across a range of different categories and it’s important that we can help startups take advantages of the right ones. You’ll also play an important role as an advocate with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products and features for the startups you work with. And for the customers you don’t get to work with on a 1:1 basis you’ll share knowledge more broadly by working on technical content and presenting at events.

Key job responsibilities

1. Work with peers in Account Management and Business Development functions to develop comprehensive pursuit and engagement plans that meet the needs of startup customers in the Generative AI space
2. Act directly as a technical executive sponsor for our most critical accounts - Champion your area’s customer needs with senior leaders (Director, VP) inside AWS
3. Hire, on-board, train, and develop Solutions Architects from internal and external sources
4. Develop mechanisms to ensure your team is well-positioned to deliver high value to customers and the right results for the business
5. Maintain a high bar for operational excellence; define and maintain appropriate cadences for inspecting the business in your area
6. Own the talent management strategy and outcomes for your team (performance management, promotion pipelines, leadership development, mentoring programs etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of enterprise IT application work that includes at least 2 years of hands-on software development or DevOps engineering experience
- 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience
- 8+ years of technology solutions development and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $152,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
