POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director, Information Security & Governance, this role implements the Director's technology roadmap across infrastructure, security, applications, integrations, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. The Solutions Architect translates approved priorities into scalable, secure technical solutions that align with standards, timelines, and business objectives. The role works across all requisite business technologies, including cloud compute providers, business‑ and customer‑facing applications, brick‑and‑mortar stores, networking and infrastructure platforms, leading‑edge security tools, vendor integrations, and other ancillary systems. Success requires close collaboration with E‑Commerce, DevOps, Security, Network & IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain a reliable, secure, scalable technology environment.

  • Design, build, secure, and support enterprise solutions across infrastructure, applications, integrations, cloud, on‑premises, vendor‑hosted, and hybrid environments.
  • Serve as a hands‑on technical contributor across the solution lifecycle, including analysis, architecture, design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, production support, and optimization.
  • Support and enhance enterprise platforms via AI integration, automation, playbook design and creation.
  • Perform implementation tasks such as environment setup, system configuration, platform integration, data flow validation, access control implementation, automation, upgrades, patching, and release support.
  • Function as a working member of the Information Security team by contributing to daily operations, project execution, incident resolution, system improvements, KPI monitoring, and technology planning.
  • Define, implement, and enforce technical standards, security controls, architecture patterns, integration practices, and operational procedures.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and security resources to clarify requirements, shape solution designs, plan implementations, and resolve issues.
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement technologies, tools, platforms, and process improvements that support the Information Security roadmap.
  • Lead or support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, remediation, stabilization, and support escalation.
  • Lead and support security and infrastructure initiatives, including access management, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, monitoring, compliance, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
  • Create and maintain project plans, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, status updates, risk and issue logs, work estimates, runbooks, and support documentation.
  • Resolve system issues, recommend practical solutions, assess risk and effort, support business continuity, and drive continuous improvement in performance, security, efficiency, scalability, and supportability.
  • Responsible for data inventory, classification, and control design/implementation and monitoring across the enterprise data stores
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, infrastructure, security, enterprise applications, integrations, engineering, or solutions architecture.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a senior technical role such as Senior Engineer, Senior Developer, Infrastructure Engineer, Security Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
  • Strong and proven hands‑on experience implementing, supporting, troubleshooting, and documenting enterprise systems in complex environments, including issue diagnosis, escalation, and resolution.
  • Experience with enterprise application ecosystems, infrastructure platforms, cloud environments, databases, networking, integrations, security tools, operating systems, and vendor‑supported platforms.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of the major cloud compute providers, networking and infrastructure platforms, leading‑edge security tools.
  • Experience participating in full lifecycle projects from business requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of security by design and ZTA architecture principles, system design, infrastructure operations, security practices, integration patterns, data flows, and enterprise technology standards.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications, implementation tasks, support procedures, and scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience implementing and supporting security initiatives such as identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, monitoring, compliance support, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to evaluate products, platforms, and technologies and recommend practical solutions based on business needs, technical fit, security requirements, roadmap alignment, and operational supportability.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Security & IT, Application Development, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, business users, product owners, vendors, and leadership.
  • Ability to manage project‑related deliverables, including plans, technical documentation, status updates, issue reporting, risk analysis, and work estimates.
Critical Skills & Attributes
  • Hands‑on implementation mindset with the ability and willingness to actively configure, troubleshoot, document, and support enterprise technology solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving and technical judgment, including the ability to identify issues, assess risk, recommend action, and drive resolution.
  • Ability to balance architecture responsibilities with practical implementation, operational support, and day‑to‑day execution.
  • Working knowledge of security, infrastructure, applications, integrations, cloud environments, and enterprise system support.
  • Ability to execute the Director's roadmap and convert strategic direction into actionable technical deliverables.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, discipline, urgency, and follow‑through.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions, promote standards, and guide teams toward secure, scalable, supportable solutions.
