Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Solutions Architect for ECRT to drive technical strategy and validation with major US operators in construction, real estate, and transportation. You will lead AI-assisted development, prototype PoCs, and architect scalable cloud solutions in customer environments.
The role emphasizes advisory work, operational constraints, and influencing senior leaders toward business outcomes through AI and cloud strategy.
Application deadline: Aug 30, 2026
AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success. This customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted cloud. Join us and help us grow.
Join the AWS Enterprise team as an SA for Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, and Transportation (ECRT) customers. You will define and prove technical direction for major industrial operators by combining architectural reasoning and strategic advisory with hands‑on validation in customer environments. You build working prototypes, proof‑of‑conceptions, and AI‑driven solutions that accelerate customer decisions and close the gap between architectural recommendation and validated proof.
You operate where the path forward is undefined and must be defined by you. Your ECRT customers have business objectives (reduce project delivery risk, optimize fleet operations, modernize asset management) but may not have a defined technology strategy or solution design. You create and adapt approaches for situations where established patterns are insufficient, applying contextual judgment about your customers' operational constraints, regulatory environment, and competitive dynamics.
You will be the primary technical partner for major US construction, real estate, and transportation operators. You lead with Agentic AI and AI‑assisted development to solve customer problems, and you steer customers away from areas where hype outpaces practical value for their operational context. You maintain technical currency so customers receive guidance based on current capability, not outdated expertise. You build deep relationships with customers' senior technical leaders to enable them to become cloud advocates.
You are technically self‑sufficient, yet you know when to seek help: you are capable of using AI tools and delivering directly in customer sandbox environments. You drive the architectural decisions that downstream teams (customer engineering, ProServe, partners) build against, and you own the consequences with the customer when those decisions need revisiting.
The ECRT Solutions Architecture team covers the largest Engineering, Construction, Real Estate Transportation and Logistics customers across North America. We sit within the AWS Enterprise Business Unit and drive technical outcomes across cloud transformation, AI adoption, network cloudification, and software modernization. The team operates with a "forward-deployed competence" mindset - bringing deep technical expertise directly to where customers need it most.
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply.
