Job summary

Optimize Search Group in Addison, TX is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect to lead ERP solution design and delivery across the enterprise, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture.

You will collaborate with ERP Functional Leads, business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to ensure reusable templates, robust controls, data standards, testing assets, and successful multi-site deployments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years in ERP implementation, enhancement, or business applications.
• 7+ years hands-on with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP.
• Experience as a Solution Architect or similar role on ERP projects.
• Experience across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, or related processes.
• Experience guiding functional leads and analysts without direct people management.
• Experience governing designs from internal teams and partners.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP migrations or transformations.

Job Summary

Our client is a growing, publicly traded industrial organization with a global presence and a diverse portfolio of operating businesses. The company provides engineered solutions and services to customers across multiple industrial markets and is continuing to expand through organic growth, acquisitions, and technology modernization.

The organization is investing significantly in its enterprise technology landscape and is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect to help drive the quality, consistency, and scalability of its ERP environment.

The ERP Solution Architect will be responsible for the overall quality, integrity, and timely delivery of ERP solutions across the enterprise. Reporting to the Director of IT ERP, this individual will provide solution leadership across a portfolio of ERP projects, with a primary focus on ensuring solutions are scalable, supportable, well-integrated, and aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

The role will work closely with ERP Functional Leads, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external implementation partners. The successful candidate will provide architecture oversight, design guidance, solution review, and delivery support throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate combines deep ERP implementation experience, strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) expertise, broad business-process knowledge, and sound delivery judgment. This person should be able to understand the end-to-end solution, identify risks early, challenge ineffective design decisions, resolve complex cross-functional issues, and hold implementation partners accountable for delivering high-quality solutions.

A key responsibility will be the continued development and refinement of the organization's D365 template, ensuring that process designs, configuration decisions, controls, integrations, data standards, testing assets, and deployment practices are reusable across projects, locations, and future implementations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
• 10+ years of experience in ERP implementation, enhancement, and/or business applications.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or a comparable enterprise ERP platform, with strong preference for D365 F&O.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a Solution Architect, Lead Functional Consultant, Solution Lead, Architecture Lead, or similar role on ERP implementation projects.
• Experience leading solution design across multiple ERP functional areas, such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Planning, Warehouse Management, Project Operations, or related business processes.
• Experience guiding Functional Leads, business analysts, consultants, or project team members without direct people-management responsibility.
• Experience reviewing and governing solution designs developed by internal teams and external implementation partners.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations, rollouts, acquisitions, migrations, or business-transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of the relationships between business processes, systems, data, controls, reporting, integrations, and operational support.
• Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to communicate complex solution concepts clearly to executive, business, functional, and technical audiences.
• Preferred QualificationsExperience in industrial manufacturing, engineered-to-order, make-to-stock, project manufacturing, or other complex manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting multi-site or global ERP deployments.
• Experience with ERP integrations, middleware, data migration, master-data governance, reporting, and analytics.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience establishing or participating in architecture governance, design authority, or solution-review forums.
• Experience evaluating ISV solutions, implementation partners, and third-party technology providers.

Certifications

Travel Requirements

Travel will vary based on project requirements but is expected to be less than one week per month in a typical month. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
