Job summary

Horizen Labs is seeking a Solutions Architect/Sales Engineer to articulate the value of zkVerify and Horizen to enterprise clients. You will design secure, scalable blockchain solutions, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to integrate with dApps and external systems.

The role emphasizes pre/post sales, technical leadership, and cross-functional coordination. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in solutions architecture or sales engineering, strong cryptography and smart contract knowledge

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in solutions architecture or sales engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and pre/post sales relationships.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including Go, Python, Java, C++, and Rust.
• Strong understanding of smart contract development and deployment on Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polkadot, or Solana.
• Expertise in cryptographic algorithms, consensus protocols (PoW, PoS, DPoS, BFT), and security best practices.
• Experience with scalability solutions, including layer‑2 technologies, sidechains, and interop between networks.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding and the value proposition of zkVerify and Horizen can bring to projects and Enterprise companies.
• Work closely with the Business Development team to help partners understand how zkVerify and Horizen can help solve their business needs.
• Design blockchain solutions, ensuring that the architecture is secure and optimized for scalability and performance.
• Build and implement blockchain protocols, ensuring they meet requirements for performance, security, and decentralization.
• Collaborate on dApp Development and Integration: Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to integrate blockchain architecture with decentralized applications (dApps) and external systems.

What You’ll Own:

• Determining how our products can best benefit current and potential customers and users.
• Lead technical discussions with partners and brainstorming sessions.
• Create prototypes for internal and external usage.
• Present and plan use cases to internal team members and external partners.
• Meet with partners to manage deliverables, technical questions, and additional asks.
• Work with the Product team to identify and prioritize product and integration enhancements based on client requests and identified technical obstacles.
• Thoroughly document proposed client solutions, to help transition your work from the Business Development cycle to post‑sale implementation and servicing.
• Support Marketing team with promotional activities (writing blogs, participating in demo‑driven webinars, speaking at industry events, etc.).
• Scope, plan and deliver product presentations and demonstrations that are tailored to the user’s technical requirements and audience.
• Follow and stay‑up‑to‑date on the latest developments in blockchain and crypto to advance our technical expertise.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in working in solutions architecture or sales engineering.
• Demonstrable experience in technical consulting and both pre and post sales relationship building.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Go, Python, Java, C++, and Rust.
• Strong understanding of smart contract development and deployment, with experience in platforms like Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polkadot, or Solana.
• Expertise in cryptographic algorithms, consensus protocols (PoW, PoS, DPoS, BFT), and security best practices.
• Experience with scalability solutions, including layer 2 technologies, sidechains, and interoperability between blockchain networks.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences, in a clear and concise manner, both spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of decentralized technologies, blockchain, and the Web3 ecosystem.
• Deep interest in blockchain technology, DeFi applications, NFTs, and the broader Web3 ecosystem.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both foreign and domestic, as needed.
• Certifications or additional coursework in blockchain, cryptography, or decentralized systems are a plus.
