Job summary

A leading tech consulting firm based in New York, NY is looking for an experienced software architect specializing in application modernization using Java and Azure. Ideal candidates will have over 7 years of IT experience, particularly in designing and implementing enterprise applications. Strong skills in Spring boot, modern web technologies, and DevOps tools are essential. Candidates should also be able to lead high-performance teams and have good communication skills. A relevant engineering degree and Azure certification are preferred.

Focus on: Experience in app modernization using Java. Spring boot, Angular/react,

Required technical skills and Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on IT experience in software design and application development
• At least 4+ years of experience hands-on experience in the design, implementation of distributed, and fault-tolerant enterprise applications.
• Experience in java programming languages Python, Flask, Django, Java 8, Spring, Spring boot
• Experience in working on modern web technologies such as React, Bootstrap, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, React
• Experience in the modernization of legacy applications to modern Azure Serverless applications
• Hands-on experience in Container servicer EKS, ECS
• Hands-on experience in Terraform, Cloud Formation Templates
• Hands-on experience in Well Architect Framework
• Experience in DevOps tools Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Jira, Docker and Azure.
• Knowledge of relational databases and no SQL databases i.e. MongoDB, Cassandra etc. would be an added advantage

Required technical skills and Experience

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in leading high-performance teams for different types of engagements like Product Development, Application Development, Migration and Support Engagements
• Working knowledge in Agile and traditional SDLC project execution methodologies

Additional good to have skills

• Industry knowledge and experience in areas of Cloud Data processing and migration, advanced analytics Redshift, Glue, Azure EMR, Azure Kinesis, Step functions
• Customer experience, UX strategy, mobility and modern web technologies

Educational Qualifications

• Post Grad or Bachelor of Engineering or Science or above
• Preferably Azure solution certified architect
