Job summary

Zillion Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to translate business problems into technical requirements and to drive end-to-end architectural design across multiple initiatives.

You will prototype, build POCs, and work with legacy applications and large codebases. Ideal candidates have 18+ years in solutions architecture, 15+ years of Java development, and hands-on pattern knowledge; AI/ML experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in solutions architecture and business application development.
• 8+ years hands-on experience with solution architecture across initiatives.
• 15+ years of Java development experience and strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns.
• Experience with modern cloud-native architectures and leading architecture transformations.
• Generative AI/ML experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Architects, Chief Product Owner, Product Owner, and Agile Coach to ensure solution and technical architectures meet requirements.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Security to align with enterprise standards.
• Drive technical business cases, RFP/vendor interviews, and POC activities for COTS solutions in buy decisions.
• Work with development leads on design brainstorming and reviews to ensure architectural alignment.
• Assist ART members to resolve implementation issues across requirements, design, code, and testing.
• Keep up-to-date with Generative AI/ML trends and apply them to business problems.

• The candidate must have experience with the following:
• Enterprise experience and working across multiple initiatives
• Translating business to technical requirements
• Building POCs, prototyping, feasibility checks
• Designing end-to-end solutions
• Working with legacy applications and large codebases
• Knowledge of ANY AI powered developer tools such as Amazon Q, Cursor etc.
• FinTech experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience in Python is nice to have but not required. Python is used for POCs and prototyping.

Must Have Qualifications: 18+ years of overall experience, 8+ years specifically hands of with Solution Architect that are able to follow business problems, interact with stakeholders. MUST HAVE 15+ Java development experience. Hands on experience with Design patterns and architectural patterns.

Your Impact:

• Collaborate with Business Architects, Chief Product Owner, Product Owner, Agile Coach to ensure Solution and Technical Architecture creation for a given requirement/feature/initiative.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Security groups to ensure new and existing solutions are aligned with enterprise standards.
• Partner with business and IT customers to drive product research, RFP/vendor interview from technical perspective and POCs activities for COTS solution in a buy decision and is responsible for communicating business cases for TAWG/ARB approvals.
• Work with development leads on design brainstorming and design review to ensure alignment with architecture, patterns and standards.
• Work with ART members to resolve implementation issues from business or technical requirements, design, code, testing, to technology/platform.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends in Generative AI/ML landscape and bring applicability of these technologies to solve business problems.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture and Business Application development.
• Extensive experience in Solution Architecture patterns such as micro-front ends, microservices, 12 factor applications etc.
• 5+ years of relevant task management experience.
• Hands-on and architectural experience with modern Cloud Native architectures is required, as well as demonstrable record of leading architects through organizational transformations.
• 3+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture preferred.
• Experience in Generative AI, demonstrable record of applicability of AI/ML to solve business problems.
• Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable.
• Deep knowledge of various enterprise level Platforms widely used in the industry preferred

Compensation: $90.00 – $100.00 per hour. This is the targeted compensation range for this role per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
