Are you an experienced Solutions Architect with deep insurance industry knowledge? Do you excel in working with business analytics, translating business needs into technical solutions? If so, and you're looking for a role with the perfect blend ofstrategic thinkingandhands-on execution, then we're looking for you!

COVU is seeking a Solutions Architect to partner with our Engineering Manager and product team. In addition to architecture and technical responsibilities, this role involves understanding the intricacies of insurance carrier admin systems, agency management systems, and the entire policy lifecycle (from selling a policy to servicing).

The Solution Architect will be responsible for:

• Business & Insurance Expertise: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team. Understand business needs, particularly in the insurance domain, and translate them into technical requirements.
• Architectural Ownership: Collaborate with the engineering manager and senior leadership to design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across various domains (business, solution, technology, and infrastructure architecture).
• Solution Architecture: Work with the product team and engineering manager to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Hands-On Development: Contribute to coding efforts, especially for back-end systems, integrations, and serverless solutions in AWS.
• Infrastructure & Integration: Lead the design and provisioning of cloud infrastructure (AWS), ensuring optimal networking, data storage, and security practices.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with engineering and DevOps teams, providing technical direction and mentoring developers.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep knowledge of insurance processes (policy lifecycle, distribution, agency management system, policy admin systems).
• 10+ years in system architecture and software development.
• Strong hands-on coding experience in Java/Spring, Python, Go, and AWS technologies.
• Expertise in microservices, API development, and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with Salesforce architecture, integration patterns, and utilizing its API and platform services (huge Plus)
• Proficiency in deploying and managing AmazonConnect for cloud-based contact centers, integrating Pinpoint for customer engagement, and leveraging AWS Machine Learning services, e.g., SageMaker (huge Plus)
