Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior IT Enterprise Architect to provide technical leadership and define system scope for enterprise solutions. You will guide architecture, standards, and collaboration across teams, with emphasis on scalable, secure designs and minimizing technical debt.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into designs, evaluating technologies, and leading design reviews. This hybrid role is based in Columbus and reports to IT Enterprise Architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of IT experience.
• Strong systems integration and design experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, security, and modern architectures.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Cloud Solution Architecture certification (AWS, Azure, or Google) preferred.

Job Description Summary:

Provides technical leadership and functional direction on formulation and definition of system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and formulate desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written or how software will be utilized.

Works with Portfolio Architects to elaborate on the solution architecture for the application area, and reviews the detailed designs working with the technical lead to ensure compliance with overall solution vision, and guides the teams to implement solutions, and documents applications in areas including messaging and collaboration, web technologies, wireless technologies, system interfaces, database querying, and reporting.

Champions the technology and implementation for identified application area(s), manage application level technical debt, guide the application stakeholders on the prioritization of the technical scope. current applications/processes for technical performance and recommend target benchmarks. Helps the team troubleshoot any technical problems by providing problem resolution, follow-up, and education.

• Years of experience: 5-10 relevant IT experience.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Required or Strongly Preferred
