We are looking for a Solution-Level Software System Engineer to join our team to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.

Your day-to-day work will include:

1. Working as a member of the Solutions System Engineering Team in prioritizing capabilities to be worked on in a given Program Increment (PI).
2. Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to better understand the scope of an Initiative/Capability.
3. Assembling Artifacts and other information into Solutions Initiative Documents (SIDs) as well as Solutions Engineering Documents (SEDs) and refining Jira tickets as necessary.
4. Modeling Capability behavior (SV-1, SV-4) using the MagicDraw MBSE tool.
5. Creating/modifying existing behavior to include Functions and Data Exchanges/Signals.
6. Defining Acceptance Criteria for a Capability and tracing the Acceptance Criteria to behavior in the model.
7. Determining the current Capabilities Description Document (CDD) and System Spec requirements being satisfied by the capability and establishing those links in the model.
8. Recommending follow-on Feature tickets to be implemented at the Program Level.
9. Facilitating/Leading both Internal and Formal Reviews of an Initiative/Capability.
10. Adjudicating review comments and transitioning recommended Capabilities/Features to the backlog by drafting Capabilities/Features for implementation using Jira.
11. Participating in regularly scheduled team stand-ups as well as Team Planning, Retrospectives, and Prioritization.

At a minimum you should have:

1. An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain it.
2. A bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
3. 10 or more years of system engineering or related experience.
4. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
5. Proficiency in MagicDraw.
6. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
7. Experience with Jira and Confluence.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various levels of workers/leaders.

You will be highly desirable if you have:

1. A master's degree in systems engineering.
2. Participation in proposal efforts including contract re-competes.

Estimated Salary Range

1. Intermediate: $100,000 - $135,000
2. Senior: $140,000 - $175,000
3. Subject Matter Expert: $180,000 - $215,000

The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid considers various factors when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
