Position Overview

This Solution Architect Sr. role is located in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX or Lakewood, CO. The senior‑level position is responsible for strategy, architecture, and innovation across business, application, platform, and data domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop solution and data architecture and resolve complex issues across initiatives through requirements analysis, architectural leadership, and project supervision.
• Design solution architecture for large or complex programs, including system, application, and data designs, aligning with enterprise strategies, standards, and target state roadmaps.
• Define and govern data architecture patterns, including logical and physical data models, canonical data structures, data domains, and master/reference data strategies.
• Provide architectural leadership for data platforms and ecosystems such as data warehousing, lakes, analytical platforms, streaming architectures, and cloud‑based data services.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data modeling, integration, quality, metadata management, lineage, and lifecycle management.
• Partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to support reporting, analytics, AI/ML, regulatory, and operational use cases.
• Advise IT and data engineering teams on data design, integration patterns, storage technologies, and architectural tradeoffs.
• Develop solutions that account for non‑functional requirements such as scalability, performance, resiliency, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to analyze business requirements and produce architecture recommendations.
• Oversee architecture outcomes across initiatives, ensuring solution and data architectures meet functional and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with data governance and risk partners to ensure alignment with governance, security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Explore new and emerging technologies and data capabilities to enable business outcomes or introduce disruption.
• Practice strong decision making and critical thinking by fully analyzing complex issues and driving productive outcomes.
• Apply enterprise systems thinking across application, infrastructure, integration, and data architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience or equivalent with a bachelor’s degree; advanced degrees or certifications desirable.
• Strong background in solution, platform, system, application, and data architecture with solid knowledge of business architecture.
• Proficiency with integration and data strategies to gain operational efficiencies and optimize product offerings.
• Proven thought leadership, networking, interpersonal, political and emotional intelligence.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to anticipate emerging business needs, data requirements, and technology capabilities.
• Experience with TOGAF, enterprise architecture frameworks, machine learning, risk assessments, and industry knowledge.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $112,000.00 – $228,800.00 (varies by geography, market data, and individual skill, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible.
