Job summary

Appex Innovation seeks a Solution Architect (Enterprise Data & Integration) for a hybrid role in Whippany, NJ. You will own delivery of solution architecture for core programs, interface with platform, data, and business teams, and produce high-level designs aligned with Barclays standards.

Requires data governance, data modeling, API/microservice design, and experience with banking environments. Java exposure preferred but not mandatory; strong program leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Own delivery of solution architecture and technology designs for core function programs.
• Face off to application platform teams to agree low-level solutions support & design.
• Provide solution design artefacts and interface with application and data architects for conformity.
• Secure design approvals with stakeholder engagement across BAs, Credit, Risk and QA teams.
• Understand the development cycle and Barclays standards.

Responsibilities

• Design the solution and produce high-level design documents.
• Ensure architecture impact aligns with Barclays standards and architecture roadmap.
• Lead high-level architecture design for enterprise data and integration programs.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Guide API and microservice design along with data flow considerations.

Must Have:

• Local to New Jersey
• Own delivery of solution architecture and technology designs for core function programs
• Face off to application platform teams to agree low-level solutions support & design, (ii) provide solution design artefacts, (iii) interface with application and data architects to ensure strategic conformity/consistency, (iv) ensure design approval is achieved, including with stakeholder engagement, (v) works with BAs, Credit, Risk and Application Test teams
• High-level architecture design
