Role – Solution Architect – Commercial Product Launch
Mandatory: Product launching experience in Commercial space. Hands-on integration and modeling of IQVIA, LAAD, Veeva CRM, 852/867 EDI feeds, MMIT, Careset, and Payer/Claims datasets. Deep understanding of US Pharma commercial operations, sales force effectiveness, formulary tracking, market access, and patient journey analytics.
Position Overview
The Solution Architect – Commercial Product Launch will design, architect, and lead the technical execution of commercial analytics and data platform capabilities for product launches. This role is responsible for unifying key commercial launch datasets including Sales & Prescription data, Longitudinal Claims, Payer/Market Access, and Sales Force/CRM interactions—into a single governed source of truth to power brand launch cockpits, executive decision-making, and field force execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture & Platform Design: Architect end-to-end cloud data pipelines, semantic layers, and data marts on AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, PySpark, Athena) to support commercial data products and launch performance tracking. Design conformed dimensional models, star schemas, and reusable semantic layers for brand launch metrics (NRx, TRx, Share of Voice, Persistent Duration). Ensure full alignment with enterprise platform standards, data governance, RBAC security, and data quality frameworks.
- Commercial Dataset Integration & Harmonization: Ingest, clean, and harmonize key pharmaceutical launch datasets across multiple channels: Sales & Prescription Data: IQVIA (Xponent, Plantrak, NPA), 852/867 EDI distributor feeds, and SAP sales/invoicing. Claims & Patient Data: LAAD (Longitudinal Prescription & Claims), medical and pharmacy claims, and Careset data. Payer & Market Access Data: MMIT, formulary coverage, prior authorization (PA) tracking, and Gross-to-Net (GTN) analytics. CRM & Field Interaction Data: Veeva CRM, call activity, HCP engagement metrics, and digital marketing/omnichannel feeds. Master Data: Customer Master (HCP/HCO/Payer) and Product Master MDM integrations.
- Launch KPI & Decision-Support Framework: Build phase-aware KPI rule engines tracking launch progression across key operational pillars: Market Readiness, HCP Engagement, Patient Adoption, Access & Formulary, and Persistence & Adherence. Establish automated data quality validation gates and circuit breakers to ensure source feed integrity before deployment.
- Cross-Functional Delivery Leadership: Partner with Commercial Brand Teams, Strategic Analytics, Data Engineering, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical blueprints. Guide technical delivery pods across data engineering, semantic modeling, and micro-frontend/BI integration.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Data Architecture and Commercial Analytics, with specific experience leading data architecture for commercial product launches.
- Commercial Dataset Expertise: Hands-on experience integrating and modeling IQVIA, LAAD, Veeva CRM, 852/867 EDI feeds, MMIT, Careset, and Payer/Claims datasets.
- Technical Skills: Cloud Data Platforms: AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Step Functions, Lambda) and/or Snowflake. Data Processing & Engineering: PySpark, SQL, Apache Iceberg, ETL/ELT frameworks, and REST APIs. Data Modeling: Dimensional modeling (Kimball), Star Schema design, Master Data Management (MDM), and conformed dimension strategy.
- Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of US Pharma commercial operations, sales force effectiveness (SFE), formulary tracking, market access, and patient journey analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Genentech/Roche commercial technology ecosystems (e.g., Polaris, OASIS).
- Familiarity with semantic layer engines (Cube.js) and BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Qlik)
Education
- Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
