Job summary
AltexSoft is seeking a Solution Architect with deep AWS expertise to lead design and delivery of secure, scalable systems. You will define AWS-first architecture and guide engineering teams, engaging with CTO and executives to shape technology strategy.
The role focuses on cloud-native, serverless patterns, modernization of legacy modules, and ensuring architectural consistency across projects. Remote work option may apply.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years in software engineering with Solution Architecture or senior AWS developer roles.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven workflows.
- Expertise building cloud-native and serverless architectures on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, EventBridge, SQS).
- Hands-on development with Node.js in serverless-first environments.
- Strong front-end awareness with React/TypeScript.
- Solid API design, security best practices, and cloud governance.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, JSON schemas, and data modeling for cloud systems.
- DevOps practices with IaC (Terraform/CDK), CI/CD, containers (Docker), and orchestration (ECS preferred over EKS).
- Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and ability to work in a consulting/advisory model.
- Stack-agnostic mindset and ability to adapt architecture as tech evolves.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of modern, cloud-native, serverless architectures aligned with the client’s technology vision.
- Drive rewrite and modernization of legacy .NET modules to Node.js/React services.
- Ensure solutions follow architectural guidelines and strategic technology direction.
- Participate in early-stage discovery and translate business needs into technical strategies.
- Produce architectural documentation and guidance for engineering teams.
- Leverage PostgreSQL capabilities to improve performance and reduce complexity.
- Support transition to new architecture while maintaining operational continuity.
- Provide technical guidance across backend and frontend teams.
- Support AI/ML service adoption within the product ecosystem.
- Conduct PoCs to validate approaches and cloud-native patterns.
- Collaborate with frontend teams on SSR solutions using React + Next.js.
- Ensure scalability, security, observability, and maintainability across components.
- Engage with Product, Business, DevOps, and engineering stakeholders for decisions.

In this role, you will define AWS-first architecture, provide technical leadership to development teams, and ensure that solutions align with both business objectives and modern technology standards.
You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, overseeing implementation, and driving architectural consistency across projects. You will work closely with engineering teams and engage directly with executive stakeholders, including the CTO and other C-level leaders, to shape technology strategy and guide key architectural decisions.

The system comprises multiple integrated components that work together to provide high-quality filtering capabilities while offering exceptional flexibility in configuration. At the core of the platform is a suite of web-based portals that support user management, filtering settings, and administrative controls. These portals are continuously enhanced and extended to ensure a unique, user-centric filtering experience without compromising browsing security or performance.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including Solution Architecture or Senior AWS Developer roles.
- Strong experience designing large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven workflows.
- Proven expertise building cloud-native and serverless architectures, ideally on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, EventBridge, SQS)
- Hands-on development experience with Node.js, preferably in serverless-first environments.
- Understanding of modern front-end ecosystems, especially React/TypeScript.
- Solid grasp of architectural patterns, API design (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), security best practices, and cloud governance.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, stored procedures, JSON-based schemas, and data modeling for modern cloud systems
- Proficiency with DevOps workflows and IaC (Terraform/CDK), CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (ECS preferred over EKS
