Once the design is approved, you will own the technical design backlog, mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle. This role demands deep expertise in SaaS architecture, a passion for low-code development, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

About The Company

System Automation (SA) has built solutions for state and local regulatory agencies for over twenty-five years. Our SaaS platform is trusted by 500 government agencies, spans 5,000 industries, and serves over 20 million licensees.

Our mission is to positively disrupt the regulatory software market by incubating new ideas, collaborating with our customers, and building technology with real-world impact. We challenge the status quo, aren’t afraid to experiment, and build products that improve the states and cities we live in.

  • Produce clear design deliverables (architecture diagrams, ERDs, sequence diagrams, specification documents, and other written design notes) that serve as the implementation blueprint.
  • Decompose the design into an actionable backlog of technical tasks for the development team.

  • Provide technical oversight during implementation: review low‑code configurations, JavaScript‑based custom widgets, integrations, and data migrations.
  • Conduct code and configuration reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security standards are met.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks early, proposing pragmatic solutions and trade offs.
  • Mentor and coach Solution Developers and Solution Consultants, fostering best practices in low‑code and SaaS architectures.

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable low‑code solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to balance ideal architecture with practical constraints.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication; comfortable presenting to technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership and mentorship mindset; ability to elevate team capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and self‑motivation.
