Job summary

System Automation Corporation seeks a Solution Architect to translate complex business requirements into enterprise, cloud-native applications on the Evoke low-code platform. You will own the technical design backlog, mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and mitigate risks throughout delivery.

This role reports to the Manager of Solution Development and is 100% remote. Ideal candidate has deep expertise in SaaS architecture and exceptional written and verbal communication.

Job description

We're looking for a Solution Architect to join our team. The Solution Architect plays a key role on the Professional Services team, translating complex business requirements into enterprise, cloud-native applications built on SA’s Evoke™ low-code application platform. You will partner with our technical project teams and our customers to capture requirements, design end-to-end architectures, and create the technical blueprint that guides implementation. Once the design is approved, you will own the technical design backlog, mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle. This role demands deep expertise in SaaS architecture, a passion for low-code development, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Reports to: Manager of Solution Development

Location: 100% Remote

Compensation: $145,000 - $170,000 Base salary commensurate with experience. This role is eligible for the company’s commission plan and profit sharing.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Engage with customers and solution consultants to understand business objectives, constraints, and success criteria.
• Lead and document application architecture and detailed design, including data models, integration patterns, security model, and user experience flows.
• Produce clear design deliverables (architecture diagrams, ERDs, sequence diagrams, specification documents, and other written design notes) that serve as the implementation blueprint.
• Decompose the design into an actionable backlog of technical tasks for the development team.
• Lead by example as a hands on developer contributing to on-time project delivery
• Conduct code and configuration reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security standards are met.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks early, proposing pragmatic solutions and trade offs.
• Mentor and coach Solution Developers and Solution Consultants, fostering best practices in low-code and SaaS architectures.
• Stay current on emerging cloud-native and low-code technologies; champion their adoption where beneficial.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture standards, delivery processes, knowledge bases, and to the Evoke platform itself.
• Ensure all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology, version control, appropriate testing, and risk guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 12+ years of professional software development experience, operating in a tech lead capacity
• Minimum of 3 years acting in a Solution/Application Architect capacity on enterprise software projects, with demonstrated ownership of technical delivery
• Deep experience designing and architecting full enterprise software applications from the ground up.
• Hands on experience with RESTful APIs, data modeling (relational & NoSQL), and modern integration patterns.
• Demonstrated experience creating architectural artifacts and technical documentation.
• Experience defining technical standards for development teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Git, CI/CD pipelines).

Preferred

• Experience architecting enterprise software solutions built on low code application platforms such as Pega, Appian, Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, Mendix, or OutSystems.
• Previous work designing or implementing enterprise software solutions for government agencies.
