Solution Architect – ADP Enterprise Learning

ADP Enterprise Learning is hiring a Solution Architect at our Roseland location. This is a hybrid role for a candidate with 8+ years of hands‑on developer, analyst, and technical project management experience, deep expertise in web development patterns, cloud technologies, and integration of internal and external systems.

The Solution Architect collaborates with technical teams, non‑technical teams, and clients to design and integrate solutions in the HCM domain (e.g., payroll, benefits, HR). The successful candidate will understand technologies such as web application development, APIs, REST, JSON, RPA, UI frameworks, AWS, Azure, and database technologies.

The role requires extensive experience working with clients to identify unique needs and then translating those needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, define, tailor, and develop solutions that align technology with business goals.
• Act as a user champion during solution development coordination.
• Facilitate stakeholder and partner interaction to shape architecture, solutions, and direction.
• Develop user stories and wireframes, evaluating their potential and practicality.
• Develop a thorough understanding of end‑to‑end data flow and the purpose of each data element and process step.
• Synthesize existing flow and processes with future direction and create a delivery roadmap.
• Create and manage the product backlog.
• Translate technical complexity into usable, architectural elements compliant with long‑term roadmaps and established standards.
• Create and maintain designs for multiple parallel data flows, processes, and methodologies.
• Conduct proofs of concept, development, and validation.
• Code technical integrations with backend APIs, ETL, and web applications.
• Provide technical mentorship for the team.
• Lead collaboration efforts among team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 8–12 years of directly related experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience integrating complex systems.
• Experience developing web applications or websites.
• Experience with product migrations.
• Understanding of data transformation best practices.
• Prior experience with database technologies, preferably Microsoft Suite.
• Experience with UI frameworks and Python frameworks.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, including Ansible and Jenkins.
• In‑depth understanding of REST APIs, ETL, data merge, purge, and retention.
• Experience with AWS and Azure strongly desired.
• Data science and GenAI experience strongly desired.
• Capability to manage multiple stakeholders on the best course of action.
• Ability to conceptualize, negotiate, and sell ideas.
• High comfort level working in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented culture.
• Self‑starter who can work well with individuals at all levels and across functions.
• Expert multitasker.
