Northrop Grumman Chief Information & Digital Office (CDIO) is seeking a mid level Systems Software Analyst (experience level 2 or level 3). This position will be work from home virtual position.

NOTE- This position will require occasional business travel.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Support Solumina G-Series (G8) to iSeries transition, including defining business processes and new software capability, implement and manage integration API elements using software configuration management practices
  • Knowledge of Solumina iSeries, including the following elements: microservices, Rest API calls, Linux based architecture, Kubernetes and web-based services.
  • Analyze, enhance, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide software systems including Solumina integrations with ERP (Costpoint or SAP), MRP (Teamcenter) and other systems
Develop requirements, workflow, and perform systems analysis

Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities

Deploy code updates in Development and Test environments for user testing following the configuration control system processes

Establish standards for the development and maintenance of new and existing products while respecting the desire to keep iSeries as close to out of the box as possible

This role is typically designed for software development with a minor amount of system administration or data analytic responsibilities

Responsible to prioritize work, perform work independently and within a team.

Ability to receive business inputs and requirements from software analysts and end users

Under the direction of senior technical teammates develop solutions and present in stages of design reviews, receive feedback on work products

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, meet with team members and users to develop solutions.

Represent the organization to other business groups, provide sound technical understanding and commit to performance within the margins of the system capabilities

Experience providing technical solutions consistent with organizational objectives and business processes

Knowledge of software verification processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis

Must be able to share a rotating schedule for ‘on call’ support over nights, weekends, and holidays with other team members

This position can be filled at either level 2 or level 3 depending on the below requirements.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

To be considered minimally qualified for a level 2 position, you must meet the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must have either a Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 2 years of experience as a Software or Applications Analyst; OR must have a Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline with 0 years of experience as a Software or Applications Analyst
  • Must have work experience with either Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Must have experience with either Solumina, iBaseT, or iSeries
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

To be considered minimally qualified for a level 3 position, you must meet following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must have either a Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 5 years of experience as a Software or Applications Analyst; OR must have a Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline with 3 years of experience as a Software or Applications Analyst
  • Must have work experience with either Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Must have experience with either Solumina, iBaseT, or iSeries
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 6 years of experience as a Software Analyst in an aerospace environment, using the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application tool Solumina or iBase-t
  • Experience with Database queries and Data mining using an intermediate level SQL
  • Must be able to analyze and validate the performance and validity of interfaces and supporting system software to specified system requirements
  • Experience with Relational databases (Oracle, SQLServer) including packages, procedures and functions
  • Web Server administration (Apache)
  • Network Protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, TCP/IP)
  • Knowledge of programming (e.g. Python or JAVA) and Kubernetes framework
  • Understanding of software INI, UDV, SQL libraries and familiarity with version control systems like Git/Bitbucket
  • Experience with ERP systems preferably SAP S4/HANA
  • Basic understanding of configuration management, process flow and general manufacturing processing standards
  • Familiar with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and best practices in server management
  • Demonstrated experience as a Web application developer is preferred.
  • Proven experience with Full stack Java development (Java, JUnit, Java EE, Swing)
  • Experienced with JaxWs, Restful services experience
  • Experience with frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms (e.g. Eclipse, VsCode)
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
