Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Rockford IL, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. You will drive solo with pay of $1,900+ per week and have home time at least every other weekend, with eligibility to drive into Canada.

Ryder provides paid training, safety-focused culture, and opportunities for bonuses. You will operate sleepers with APUs, hauling dry van and Conestoga trailers across 48 states.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle checks for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL with endorsements.
• Experience: 9 months in past 3 years or 2 years in past 5 years or 5 years in past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
