Qualifications

• Professional experience using SolidWorks to create detailed engineering or production drawings.
• Experience converting 3D CAD models to 2D/3D production drawings.
• Working knowledge of ASME drafting standards.
• Practical GD&T, dimensioning, tolerancing, drawing notes, and annotations.
• Ability to interpret 3D models and translate design intent into manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to work independently with limited drafting oversight while collaborating with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D production drawings from existing SolidWorks models.
• Create multi-sheet production drawing packages typically 2–3 sheets.
• Develop drawings and flat patterns for spacesuit softgoods, including fabric components.
• Support mechanical components and potentially ground support equipment.
• Apply dimensions, tolerances, notes, and other manufacturing information.
• Review and redline drawings; incorporate engineering feedback and revisions.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
