Job summary

Intralox is seeking a Solidworks Drafter to support engineers, project managers, and field service technicians in designing, developing, and installing industrial equipment worldwide. You will create 2D drawings and 3D solid models, maintain the Bills of Materials, and manage the PDM system to ensure accurate documentation across projects.

The role requires an associate degree or technical training in drafting, plus 2+ years of SolidWorks experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical/vocational training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Self-managed, detail oriented, team-player with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in written/spoken English.
  • SolidWorks or ProEngineer (or equivalent) 3D software experience.
  • Experience with operating within a PDM system.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with 2D drawings and 3D solid modeling for new equipment, product design changes and plant layouts.
  • Create/maintain bills of materials for the manufacturing of equipment.
  • Assist engineers with large and/or emergency projects as needed.
  • Follow field work as needed for context (e.g. research problems, monitor tests, installations and startups).

Intralox has an opening for a Solidworks Drafter to assist engineers, project managers, and field service technicians, as needed, with the design, development, and installation of industrial equipment for our customers.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Creating Solidworks drawings and solid models for new projects
  • Incorporating drawing changes for product improvement and produce "As Built" drawings
  • Maintaining project Bill of Materials
  • Communicate with fabricators and vendors about technical aspects of the equipment
  • Managing the group's PDM system

  • Proficient with Microsoft Project and Oracle products
  • College or vocational/technical degree
