Plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of an assigned division within the Solid Waste Department; monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Solid Waste Director.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, public administration, or business administration; and Seven (7) years of managerial experience in solid waste operations; and To include (4) years of supervisory experience.

Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.

Environmental
Office and field environment; exposure to noise and inclement weather; fumes, gas, dust, grease, smoke, potentially hazardous chemicals; slippery or uneven surfaces; exposure to computer screens.
Physical
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods; travel from office to sites.
