Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is hiring an R&D Technician to work onsite at a Battery Manufacturing plant in San Jose, CA. The role supports solid-state battery development with cell fabrication and testing, SOP-driven experiments, and meticulous data recording.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years in a lab/R&D or process manufacturing setting. The position runs a 1:00 PM–9:30 PM shift, Monday through Friday, with long-term opportunities and a focus on QC of sensitive components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of hands-on lab/R&D or process manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document observations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Cell fabrication & testing per SOPs (coin cells, pouch cells, or solid-state devices).
• Support experiments with engineers and scientists on materials processing and metrology.
• Record experimental data, manage inventory, and report anomalies using standard tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab workspace and ensure equipment readiness.
