Job summary

Here to Serve Workforce Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Solar Technician 3-Travel Position to support Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants. The role covers preventative and corrective maintenance, documentation, and safety compliance across multiple sites.

Travel up to 100% is required; you will inspect inverters, trackers, and sub-stations, troubleshoot electrical issues and mentor apprentices while adhering to LOTO/JHA procedures and HTS policies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants
• Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment
• Experience with inverters, tracker systems, or sub-stations equipment
• Ability to train and mentor laborers into Apprentices

Responsibilities

Role:Solar Technician 3-Travel Position

Job Type:Full-time

Compensation: $34-44/hour

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
• Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment, QEW Certified.
• Testing/troubleshooting installed solar equipment and ensuring proper working order.
• Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Able work in a solo as well as a group environment.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the HTS Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience:

• 4+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants is preferred.
• Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment is preferred.
• Candidates should possess strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
• Specific solar experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI, etc.) is preferred.
• Takes initiative to elevate issues at site.
• Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices.
• High aptitude and a strong work ethic are a must.

Physical/Work Environment:

At HTS safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.

• Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
• Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
• Employment may require working on weekends and holidays, including an "on call" service availability via telephone/text message.
• Travel requirements: dependent on support of the company (up to 100% travel)
