Southern Power is seeking a SPC Solar Site Team Leader to provide leadership and support for Solar Operations Technicians at Rutherford and Granville sites in NC. You will drive safe, compliant, reliable operation and maintenance of the SPC Solar Fleet, manage budgets, contracts, and maintenance strategies while coordinating across sites.
Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience, plant maintenance/ops background, and strong project management skills with knowledge of MAXIMO and SCADA.
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support for SPC Solar Operations Technicians (non-exempt employees) at the Rutherford and Granville solar sites for operating and maintaining the SPC Solar Fleet in a safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient manner. This position is accountable for safety, environmental and regulatory compliance; team development and technical direction; performance management; managing resources and work priorities; assist in developing O&M and Capital budgets and management; development and management of solar maintenance strategy and PMs; Coordination of contracts and contractors; and other related goals as required by the business.
Note: This position will have responsibilities at Rutherford Solar (Forest City, NC) and Granville Solar (Oxford, NC).
Rutherford Farm: Located on 489 acres in Rutherford County, North Carolina, the Rutherford project produces approximately 75 megawatts.
Granville Solar Facility: The Granville Solar Facility is a 2.5-megawatt facility on 40 acres of private land in Granville County, North Carolina.
