Job summary

Sargent Electric Company is seeking a Solar Site Project Manager to lead on-site solar construction projects from our De Pere, WI office. You will supervise field teams, manage safety, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent leadership experience, plus strong communication and computer skills to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or project leadership experience with multi-million-dollar projects.
• Good working knowledge of computers and basic software applications.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand project contract requirements.
• Full understanding of the scope of work to be performed.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and workforce allocation.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors.
• Participate in client coordination meetings.
• Make timely decisions to ensure project success.
• Support and enforce safety programs and initiatives.
• Monitor equipment utilization and management.
• Direct supervision of project site team (General Foreman, Yard Manager, Safety, QA/QC).
• Develop and update project schedules and management reports.
• Develop site construction methods and practices.
• Support training and employee development activities.
• Ensure work meets high workmanship standards and project drawings.
• Assume additional duties as delegated by management.

We are looking to hire a talented SOLAR SITE PROJECT MANAGER to support our De Pere, WI office. The primary responsibility of this position is the successful supervision and management of construction activities, in the safest possible way, for multi-million-dollar solar projects. This position is an on-site assignment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

• Review and understand the terms and conditions of project contract requirements
• Full understanding of the scope of work to be performed
• Successfully manage project budgets, schedules, resource and workforce allocation.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors
• Participate in project coordination meeting as required by the client
• Make timely decisions and direction to ensure project success
• Support and enforce all safety programs and initiatives
• Monitor proper utilization/management of Company-Owned and rented equipment
• Direct supervision of project site team including General Foreman, Yard Manager, Safety, QA/QC and other required site staff
• Development and updating of all project schedules and other management reports
• Develop site construction methods and practices
• Support all Company training and employee development activities and provide appropriate input and feedback, as necessary
• Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of workmanship, and that all work and materials are in compliance with project specifications and drawings
• Assume additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the management team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or project leadership experience successfully completing multi-million-dollar construction projects
