Job summary

ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a strong nationwide presence. The position located at Nova Warehouse in Manassas, VA oversees crews of installers, service techs, and warehouse staff, driving schedules, quality, safety, and training across projects.

The role requires 5–7 years construction experience, 1–3 years solar exposure, and a valid driver’s license, with a pathway to leadership and operational excellence in a fast-growing solar organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of construction-related experience.
• 1–3 years of solar experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Crews comprised of 3–5 Installers, service and inspection techs, and warehouse staff.
• Formulate performance improvement plans and make termination decisions as needed.
• Interview, hire, and train new employees.
• Monitor day-to-day work for adherence to processes and compliance.
• Coordinate ongoing education and training for the team.
• Manage project schedules and secure materials/equipment for projects.
• Provide direction and coordination of all field activities.
• Ensure project quality meets or exceeds standards.
• Develop work schedules ensuring adequate coverage.
• Contribute positively to company culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Location: Nova Warehouse - Manassas, VA 20110, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/year

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of Crews composed of 3-5 Installers each, service and inspection techs, and warehouse employees.
• Formulate performance improvement plans and make termination decisions as necessary.
• Interview, select, and train new employees.
• Monitor day to day work of staff for process adherence and compliance
• Engage in continuing education and training for the team
• Manage the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle and secure any unique materials and/or equipment required to complete the project.
• Provide direction and coordination of all field activities.
• Ensure project quality is at or above standards.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure sufficient coverage.
• Contributes to the company culture in a positive way
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Ability to move around the warehouse.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
