Job summary

Mortenson seeks a Solar Laborer Foreman to supervise shift crews, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate material supply for solar construction projects in the United States. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, developing instructions, and on-the-job training to uplift the team.

Applicants should have at least three years of related experience, union training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a range of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years related experience preferred.
• Must possess union specific training.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; ability to work with machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling: up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.

Mortenson is currently seeking a Solar Laborer Foreman that will be responsible for coordinating crews, preparing, handling, and supplying materials to be used by other crafts.

• Provide shift supervision for the team members
• Lead production team members with an intense focus on safety and quality while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies
• Develop work instructions and cross-training plans
• Provide on-the-job training and lead by example
