  • PhD in science or engineering fields required.
  • Strong background in solar physics and space weather.
  • Experience with solar instrument measurements and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze solar irradiance reference spectra from rocket and satellite instruments.
  • Analyze solar X-ray spectra and active region evolution.
  • Support calibration, integration and testing of CubeSats and instrument data analysis.
  • Develop new solar instruments or photometers for NASA/NOAA/NSF programs.
  • Pursue solar physics and space weather research and instrument development.
  • Present results at science meetings and conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
