Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking an Installer to join our solar installation construction team. You will work with the Foreperson and Lead Installer to complete residential projects, ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Previous solar, construction or military experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to identify safety hazards and follow safety policies.
• Ability to work courteous and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Demonstrated reliability to meet due dates and performance metrics in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal, crew and job site safety at all times.
• Review inventory to stock crew truck adequately.
• Complete layout and assemble solar modules, racking, mounts and electrical equipment per project plan.
• Apply weather sealing to roofing structures and supports.
• Maintain a clean, orderly job site and vehicle after installation.

Job description

The Installer position is a critical member of a solar installation construction team and is responsible for working in partnership with the Foreperson and Lead Installer to complete residential solar installation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure personal, crew and job site safety at all times and participates in training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
• Review inventory at loading dock to ensure assigned crew truck is stocked adequately
• Complete layout and assemble solar modules, the racking, mechanical and structural mounts, electrical equipment and tools in preparation of installation as specified in the project plan
• Apply weather sealing to roofing structure, building or support mechanisms
• Perform project clean up including client site and installation vehicle to ensure a clean and orderly job site and work environment
