Blue Sky Energy is a purpose-driven solar and battery installation company serving high-end residential and small commercial clients across Los Angeles. We specialize in solar PV systems, Tesla Powerwalls, and integrated energy solutions that deliver reliability, resilience, and sustainability. We are growing and seeking Solar Installers who are skilled, reliable, and eager to build a career in renewable energy.

If you have prior experience leading crews, this role offers the opportunity to step into a Crew Lead position with added responsibility and pay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install residential and small commercial solar PV systems to code and safety standards

  • Assist with racking, module placement, wiring, and system commissioning

  • Work closely with electricians on battery (Tesla Powerwall) and system integration

  • Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times

  • Communicate clearly with clients, teammates, and supervisors

  • Follow project schedules and ensure installation deadlines are met

  • If Crew Lead:

    • Oversee 2–3 installers on job sites

    • Coordinate daily tasks, delegate work, and ensure quality control

    • Serve as point of contact for site supervisor and project manager

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on solar installation experience (required)

  • Strong knowledge of residential solar PV systems and racking/wiring methods

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

  • Safety-first mindset with OSHA knowledge preferred

  • Must speak and write English fluently

  • Preferred (Crew Lead Consideration):

    • Prior experience managing installation crews or leading on-site projects

    • Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall installation and commissioning

    • Ability to coordinate schedules and ensure quality standards

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Comfortable working at heights on rooftops, ladders, and scaffolding

  • Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain)

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to different job sites within Los Angeles
