Job summary

Terra Energy is seeking a Residential Rooftop Solar Installer to join our California team. You will install rooftop PV systems outdoors, following plans, codes, and safety standards while delivering quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of solar installation experience, are comfortable on rooftops, and can lift up to 75 lbs. Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of residential rooftop solar installation experience.
  • Experience installing photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Comfortable working at heights and on residential rooftops.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Install residential rooftop PV systems according to plans and company standards.
  • Assemble and install solar modules, racking systems, and support structures.
  • Install roof attachments, flashing, and weatherproofing materials.
  • Perform basic electrical work related to PV installations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and installation plans.
  • Ensure OSHA regulations and California building/electrical codes are followed.
  • Inspect completed installations for quality and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and report deficiencies.
  • Document completed work with photos and installation reports.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with crew members and project managers to meet schedule.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Residential Rooftop Solar Installer with hands-on experience installing residential photovoltaic (PV) systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing rooftop solar systems safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and local building codes.   • Experience with Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, or similar solar equipment.
