OE Solar is a commercial EPC company delivering solar PV, battery storage and EV charging across New Mexico. We seek skilled installers who take pride in quality work and want to grow with us.

This full-time, on-site role involves travel across New Mexico and pays $20–$25/hr DOE. You will install rooftop, ground-mount and carport solar systems, lay out arrays, mount modules, wire per NEC, and install inverters, disconnects and monitoring gear.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial solar, electrical or construction experience.
• Read electrical and construction drawings.
• Able to lift 80 lbs, climb ladders, work outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• On-time with required tools and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Install rooftop, ground-mount, and carport solar systems per plans and NEC code.
• Lay out arrays, install racking, mount modules and wire per plans.
• Install inverters, disconnects, monitoring equipment; run conduit and wiring.
• Support trenching, underground conduit, and equipment pad work.
• Assist with battery storage installations and EV charger installs.
• Read plans daily, document work, and keep sites clean and organized.
• Train and mentor newer crew members.

OE Solar is a commercial EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) company. We design, build and maintain solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems for schools, government agencies, tribal communities and businesses across New Mexico. Our purpose is "Making the impossible possible for a renewable future." Our commercial pipeline is growing, and we need skilled installers who take pride in quality work and want to grow with us.

What you'll do

• Install rooftop (ballasted and attached), ground-mount and carport solar systems to plans, manufacturer requirements and current NEC code
• Lay out arrays and install several types of racking systems, including ballast placement and roof attachments
• Mount modules, and string and wire them per the plans
• Install inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects and monitoring equipment
• Bend and run EMT, rigid and PVC conduit. Pull wire and make terminations.
• Support trenching, underground conduit runs and equipment pad work
• Help run heavy equipment as needed
• Help with battery storage (BESS) installations

EV charging

• Install Level 2 and DC fast chargers (DCFC), including pedestal and wall-mount units
• Run conduit and feeders, and set bollards, pads and mounting hardware
• Help with charger startup, commissioning and network activation

On every job

• Read and work from electrical one-line diagrams, site plans and roof plans
• Set up fall protection and roof safety equipment
• Take photos before and after each install
• Write a daily log in CRM and upload the day's photos into a dated folder for each job
• Finish work on schedule, and leave job sites, trucks and the shop clean and organized every day
• Train and mentor newer crew members

What we're looking for

Required

• 1+ years of commercial solar, electrical or construction experience
• Safety comes first: you follow OSHA requirements and our company safety manual, and wear full PPE on every site
• Ability to read electrical and construction drawings
• Ability to lift 80 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights and work outdoors in all weather
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• You arrive on time with the tools on our required tool list
• You're professional and respectful with customers, facility staff and coworkers
• You take ownership of your work, report to your supervisor and document your work in writing

Preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• NABCEP PV Associate or PV Installation Professional
• EV charger manufacturer certifications (ChargePoint or similar)
• Experience with heavy equipment (skid steer, telehandler, mini excavator) or forklift certification
