Job summary

Ethical Energy is seeking a Solar Installation Technician to join our on-site team in York, PA. You will build residential solar systems from the ground up, working directly on rooftops and job sites to install, wire, and troubleshoot projects while adhering to safety and code requirements.

You’ll read blueprints, coordinate with your crew, and participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with industry practices and technologies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

As a Solar Installation Technician, you'll help bring solar projects to life by working directly on rooftops and job sites. You’ll work closely with your crew to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and up to code. Your day-to-day will include:

• Installing solar panels on residential rooftops
• Reading blueprints and site plans to guide your work
• Assembling and wiring systems, including batteries and accessories
• Troubleshooting and performing system maintenance
• Ensuring OSHA safety practices at all times
• Preparing, cleaning, and organizing the job site
• Loading and managing tools and equipment
• Staying up-to-date through ongoing training
