Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is launching our St. Louis branch and seeking a Solar Foreperson to lead residential PV and storage installations. You'll gain leadership experience with our Chicago team during pre-launch, then run crews on-site in St.

Louis when doors open in 2027. The Power+ program backs your growth with cross-training across solar, battery, and service operations. Travel is involved with a 2-week Chicago rotation, a company vehicle, and full travel compensation to support

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction experience, including at least 1 year in solar installation.
• Solid knowledge of NEC and roof construction.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and lead a crew of 3 to 6 installers on residential PV and storage installations.
• Manage daily construction workflow, ensure installations meet plans, NEC codes, and safety standards.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety huddles, maintain secure job sites.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for homeowners and provide customer service.
• Track and submit project logs, photos, and closeout documentation.

About the company & The Role

Help launch the company's brand-new St. Louis branch! As America's #1 home solar and battery company, we are seeking an experienced Solar Foreperson to join our team starting now!

As a key member of our launch team, you will spend your first few months gaining hands‑on leadership experience alongside our established Chicago team before permanently running installation crews out of our new St. Louis branch when doors open in early 2027.

Through our Power+ program, we invest heavily in your skills and career development, offering cross‑training across solar, battery, and service operations to build long‑term job security.

Travel & Perks Package

While supporting operations in Chicago during the pre‑launch phase, the company covers 100% of your travel overhead:

• Rotation Schedule: 2 weeks on‑site in Chicago, followed by 4 full days off at home in St. Louis.
• Company Vehicle: Dedicated company vehicle provided for travel and work use.
• Paid Travel Time: Full hourly compensation for time spent traveling between St. Louis and Chicago.
• Lodging & Meal Allowance: 100% company‑paid hotel accommodations plus daily per diem.

Key Responsibilities

• Workflow & Quality Control: Manage daily construction workflow, ensuring installations strictly meet engineering plans, NEC codes, and safety standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce the company and OSHA safety protocols, conduct safety huddles, and maintain secure job sites.
• Customer Representation: Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for homeowners, providing exceptional customer service throughout installation.
• Documentation: Track and submit project logs, photos, and closeout documentation via mobile field tools.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of construction experience, including at least 1 year in solar installation.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), roof construction, and electrical wiring up to 600 VDC / 480 VAC.
• Driver Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (must meet company driving standards).
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs with assistance), work at heights/rooftops in varied weather conditions, and safely handle ladders.
• Certifications: OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, or state electrical licenses/certifications preferred.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:$31.94 to $42.59
