Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a dedicated Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance at designated sites. This full-time, site-based role emphasizes safety and accurate documentation while performing testing, maintenance, and repairs under supervision.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to work in mechanical/electrical environments. A valid driver’s license and willingness to relocate are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; vocational training a plus.
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical environments through formal training or work.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for energized parts/systems.
  • Basic understanding of solar installations and related testing equipment.
  • Proficient in basic computer tasks and following written/spoken instructions.
  • NFPA 70e Safety Training certification is expected or obtained.
  • Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety; ensure safe work practices at all times.
  • Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
  • Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
  • Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance with monitoring programs.
  • Replace or repair solar parts/equipment under supervision.
  • Remain on-call as directed for emergency repairs.
  • Complete required documentation and reports of work performed.
  • Contribute to process improvements and coordinate with EPC management on implementations.
