Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and support safe operations on our solar plants in McCamey, TX. The role is full-time on-site, with supervision and opportunities to learn essential solar maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities include basic testing, troubleshooting, part replacement, and on-call support. Requires a High School diploma/GED, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; NFPA 70e Safety Training certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures is essential.
• Basic understanding of solar installation/plant operations.
• Comfort with testing equipment and basic diagnostic tasks.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and use a computer for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance and primarily work on-site at solar plants under supervision.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on solar equipment.
• Replace or repair solar parts/equipment under supervision.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare accurate work documentation and reports; ensure safety and quality practices.
• Collaborate with EPC management on process improvements and new technologies.
